In French, _referme_ means to “re-close” or “close again,” which I learned several years ago when I was working at a company that employed many Canadians, for some reason. The phrase was on a license plate that we all glimpsed as it drove by on our way to the coffeeshop or lunch or something or other (any time spent away from that office was a Good Thing™). I read it as ‘refer me,’ implying that the owner of said vehicle was in sales. My coworker, Paul, read it as French. And, thus, I giggled that the French have a word that means to “close again,” which in my brain seems _way_ too specific a word.

If you are rather looking for “fables on smaller person winning by using brain power rather than strength” (link) then I come up 4th.

There are many times when Google makes a lot of sense to me. There are other times, like _referme_’s strange ultra-specific meaning, when the Goog confounds my brain. I spin into dimensions of addlepated existence hitherto never thought of before.

But, really, I would like to know how to get the easy cheese out if the cap is broken.
